Central District Council is as mandated by the Local Government (District Council)
Act CAP 40:01 with the below responsibilities as per sections 31-33:

CENTRAL DISTRICT COUNCIL
District
Councils were established in Botswana through the Local Goverment (District
Councils) Act of 1965. Later, the first Local Gonerment Structure Commission
of 1979 recommended the creation of Sub- Districts within larger districts.
The commission did not provide guidelines, but a number of factors can be
identified which were used in the establishment of such, namely;

CDC website is a tool meant to improve communication with our customers and
ultimately improve service delivery.
This website affords us an opportunity to share information on our achievements
and challenges in our efforts to deliver service to the Central District Community.
It will also hopefully serve as a valuable reference point where our customers
can access information on what obtains in the Council.
The site also offers online services which can be accessed by our customers.
I am hopeful that this website will be put to good use by our customers and
